Description

I am actually having so much fun, drawing Miju that I decided to try a new outfit for the newest Story Arc - Zou.
The colors weren't hard to decide but I wasn't sure which color would be fitting for her goggles. Well as you can see, the main parts became light brown and the other parts dark grey/ black.
I think this type of outfit is fitting Miju which is why I think that I will keep it this way when I draw her after the time skip.
Hope you guys like it ^^

I think I will later add her BIO under this picture but I don't know when I can start to translate the first parts, since school started yesterday Sweating a little...

Here is the first part of Miju's BIO, I hope you like it :D (Big Grin)

[A/N 20. 07. 2018]: I finally added her appearance alongside most of her outfits for the various arcs.  However, I still need some outfits, so if you have any ideas, feel free to tell me :)
I also decied that Miju's main color most likely will be magenta, since it's fitting her and it's also more or less her hair color ^^

[A/N 03. 11. 2018]: I added the Miju's past and her parent's story to the BIO and also small paragraphs for the Marineford & the Wano Kuni Arc. Of course I'll add her story/ involvment of the other arcs as well, I just need a little bit more time. Nevertheless I hope you enjoy the update on her BIO :)

[A/N 12. 01. 2021]: Added some more background information for Miju :)

BIO

Name: Miju

Epithet: Thunder Miju

other Alias: Miju-chan (by Sanji)
Brat (by Edward Newgate, aka Whitebeard)
Thunder-ya (by Trafalgar D. Water Law)

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Age: 16 (becoming a Pirate)
21 years (before Timeskip)
23 years (after Timeskip)

Birthday: 07. June

Height: 1,74cm (before Timeskip)
1,77cm (after Timeskip)

Origins: Grandline (born and grown up)
Northblue (grown up and settled in sea)

Family: Gou (father, degraded Marine Vize Admiral)
Mariko (mother, Revolutionary who had infiltrated the Marine prior to the One Piece Story)

Personality:

Miju grew up protected on an Island on the Grandline with a Marine Base nearby. Because of that, she had been used to three warm meals per day and no pirates attacking her homestead and thus, was a cheerful, carefree and happy-go-lucky child who didn't had to worry about anything. With her father having been a Vize Admiral, Miju thought that the Navy and Government were „righteous“ and „good“ while Pirates as well as the Revolutionary Army were „bad“ in her eyes. Due to all the stories her father had told her about his adventures out on the sea, Miju had originally dreamed of joining the Marine and becoming a Marine Soldier herself. A dream that got crushed when she flew from her homestead with her mother, Mariko.

After apparently having to leave her father behind in order to flee, Miju became quite whiny and spoiled, as she wasn't use to work for her food and to not have three meals per day like she used to. It was hard for Miju to adapt to her new Life Style and even with the help of allies and friends, she cried very often.

Miju also displays a stubborn side, since she on one side is glad for the help the five years older Miyashi offered her and her mother but as soon as she learned about his dream to become a Pirate so he could find the One Piece, Miju hesitated to become closer friends with him due to her perception of Pirates and the Navy as well as how she imagined the life of Pirates. However, spending time with Miyashi helped Miju remaining an cheerful and optimistic outlook on life, even though life itself wasn't always easy and in fact, very often was troublesome, since Miyashi was known to be a troublemaker and a thief.

Despite their differences, Miju befriended Miyashi ofter the years and learned from Miyashi how to survive.: She learnt that it sometimes was necessary to steal from other people (either civilian or pirates) or that there was no other way than using deceitful or treacherous means. Neither Miju or Miyashi liked it, but in order to earn enough money and food to survive, the two of them worked for a Pirate Crew, only to later that day steal from them. They'd even went so fas as to use said pirate as a decoy for Navy Soldiers when they stole from them. Depending on how strong the pirates coming to the island were, Miyashi and Miju cooperated and fought against them in order to gain the Bounty, splitting the money in two halves.

Due to their life style, Miju developed some rather nasty and notorious personality traits (which would remain even when she became an adult): Miju is shown to be easily annoyed by other people's antics (the most prominent one being Miyashis' lacking eye for details such as buying fruits and vegetables when buying provisions or Ace's narcolepsy at the most inconvenient times), resulting in her very often smacking them or getting loud.

During her time as a member of the Miyashi Pirates, Miju came to understand that not all Navy soldiers and Captains were „good“ as she had believed in her childhood. After witnessing several incidents (the most prominent being part of her Crew's story), Miju understood that even the Marine and the World Government were somewhat corrupt and that in order to keep their image clean, the Navy and the World Government would do anything. Miju finally understood why Miyashi wanted to live his life as a Pirate and while Miju stil had doubts about Piracy being a good way to life your life, she herself started to enjoy this new Life Style. This lead to her once again being cheerful and coming to enjoy her freedom to its fulliest. On the other hand, Miju kept reminding herself that technically, they were the „bad guys“ in the eyes of the civilian population and that some of their doings harmed other innocent people. This realization however, helped Miju to mature and she became more responsible for herself and towards her crewmembers. Her responsibility didn't stay unnoticed by either Miyashi or the second-in-command, Nihha and thus, she earned the position as the Quartermaster of their ship.

However, at the time Miju was found by Luffy and the others, her personality had changed to the negative.

This can be seen when she was found in the open water by Usopp and Chopper after they had been beaten by Vivi for using Karuh as a fish decoy. After Chopper had taken care of her injuries and Miju had awoken, Miju displayed great distrust towards the Strawhats and Princess Vivi, showing no grattitude towards them and instead, isolated herself. While she wanted to have nothing to do with either the other Pirates or the Princess, she made a deal with Nami. The Strawhat Pirates would bring her ot the next island and her injuries would be treatened in exchange for the money she had with her. However, this situation also shows some nastier parts of Miju's personality; She adapted to her situation and secretly planned on using the Strawhat Pirates like she used to with other pirates in her childhood. (meaning that she intended to steal their money and run away with their proviant while using Luffy and the others as decoys). While isolating herself from the Strawhats, it was shown that Miju was quite good at fooling others and concealing her intentions, original thoughts or feelings, as she had been able to trick the easier minded crewmembers (such as Luffy, Chopper and Ussop). This personality traits were later shown again when Miju tricked the Pirate Crew of Mikazuki* to help her and later left them when they were beaten up by the Galley-la members. While tricking the pirates, Miju's thought proofed that she didn't like doing so and that she was well aware how dangerous it could be. However, she ignored all doubts revolving her wrong doings, justifying them as necessary as long as she was able to find her original crew.

However, it was shown during the Alabasta Arc that a few people (mainly Luffy and Ace) were able to make Miju realise that isolating, distrusting and tricking people wouldn't help her in finding her crew and instead would most likely get her killed, should her tricks not work on some people. And although Miju denies this at first Miju slowly begins to change; She opens more up towards those she deems trustworthy (such as Luffy and his crew or Ace) but also shows signs of discomfort at displaying sadness. In fact, the only occassions Miju displays her sadness is when she worried over Luffy and Zoro during the Thriller Bark – Arc and when she witnessed Ace's death during the Marineford – Arc.
Despite her flaws, Miju remains a loyal individual towards those she deems her friends as can be seen when she, althoughs injured, tried to search for her Captain and Crew or when she learnt of Ace's execution and insisted on joining Whitebeard and his Crew in their fight at Marineford, not taking a rejection as an answer.

Two years later Miju appears to be more thoughtful and seemingly matured. Her most prominent personality trait, to be easily annoyed by other people's antics, had decreased over the last two years. It's more difficult to annoy her to the point where she acts violent on them. Instead, she tries to ignore the weird antics of the Strawhat Pirates but will act on it when things get out of hand.

Miju also thinks more about current situations and possible consequences for her and the strawhat pirates reactions, which for example can be seen during the Fishman Island arc; After hearing from Jimbe the story of the Island, she quickly understands why they can't simply defeat Hody Jones and his New Fishman Pirates.

It should also be noted that after the Time Skip, Miju's admiration for strength becomes more obvious and is more often displayed. Not just in the meaning of physical strength, but also strenght in a different meaning, such as spriritual strenght, like Hope, Faith or Belief in something that may doesn't actually exist and standing up for your ideals, beliefs and principals. Another strenght Miju greatly values (mostly because she lacked it for a long time) is the Emotional Strenght. To stand back after failing or when everything falls apart. To stand up again when you're hurt or paralysed by heart.

However, what Miju admires most is the strength to forgive someone who'd hurt you. The best example for this would be when Squardo pushed a sword into Whitebeards body. Instead of killing Squardo, Whitebeard hugged him and forgave his son, which greatly surprised Miju and made her think after the war if, in Whitebeards place, she would have forgiven Squardo (She had realised, she probably wouldn't have).

[* Mikazuki is a Pirate who got his ship repaired by the Galleyl-La Company. However, he claimed that the repairing had gone on for too long, and as such, refused to pay the fees, and threatened the shipwrights. He was no match for them and was beaten up alongside his crew.]

Appearance

Before the Timeskip

Miju is a slim young woman and was slightly taller than Luffy during her debut (being 1.74m tall). After the Timeskip, Miju grew a little bit more and is still taller than him by 3cm. She has short, reddish-pink hair (considered magenta) and green, almost turquoise eyes.

Her physique compared to other females of the One Piece world is below average. Her fashion changes with every arc before the Timeskip. However, while she sometimes does show some cleavage, she shows less than most of the other female characters. Miju also always wears at least one accessoire in her hair, although the position can change. However, most of the time, Miju wears one accessoire right behind her left hair. After the timeskip, Miju wears another accessoire at the same height but on the other side.

During her her debut, Miju wore a simple white top and light blue jeans hotpants, combined with a light red sash around her waist. Underneath her sash, Miju wore a brown belt to which her weapon, an iron rod, was connected. She also wore a Log Porse on her left wrist. Due to her injuries, Miu wor bandages around her right waist and around her chest and left shoulder as well as several plaster. She also had a sunburn on her back for being exposed to the sun for too long.

During the Alabasta Arc, while in the desert, Miju wore beige colored overall to protect her already sunburnt skin from the sun. When Miju sneaked away from the Strawhat Pirates and fought a few Bounty Hunters, it was revealed that she wore a pink colored Dancer outfit Sanji had bought previously underneath said overall. After the Civil War of Alabasta was over, Miju stole a top and a mini skirt as well the very same black buskins she'd worn previously. She once again wears her Log Port.

During her search for information about her Nakama, Miju frequently disquised herself as a Marine Soldier. While in disguise, Miju wore a simple uniform, consisting of a white cappy with the Marine sign on the front, a white jacket with it's short sleeves rolled up, long blue pants and fitting blue buskins.

When she meets again with the Strawhat Pirates in Water 7, Miju wears a two colored shirt with no sleeves and black edges on her shoulders and around her neck. The upper part of her shirt is white while the lower part is magenta colored and seemingly connected by a seam. The shirt has a relatively deep v-formed collar. Additionally, Miju wears a figure-hugging jeans and sandals with heels. As always, Miju wears her hair accessoire and her Log Port.

After the successful rescue of Nico Robin, Miju changes her outfit. She now wears a borrowed top and jeans short, as well as ballerinas. She wore this outfit until they reached the Thriller Bark.

[Miju's Thriller Bark outfit will be added later]

During the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, Miju wears a dark blue jeans vest with beige fur, a white top with a purple smiley on the front. Tied around her hip, Miju wears a sash in the same color as her vest. She again wears skinny jeans and sandals with heels. Additionally, Miju wears her hair accessoire behind her left ear and her Log Port on her wrist. She is seen carrying her iron rod at her back, held there by the sash.

She wears the very same outfit during the Marineford Arc. During the Marineford Arc, Miju is hit by one of Admiral Kizaru's laser beams around the height of her hip. It becomes a scar during the timeskip.

After the Timeskip

After the Timeskip, Miju's hair has grown slightly longer and she altered her hair style slightly. Instead of one hair accessoire almost always, she now wears two all the time. Her body physics have grown as well, although not the same extends as Nami and Robin's. Due to Admiral Kizaru's laser beam, Miju has a scar around the height of her hip. She has another scar on her right shoulder after two years of training.

Her outfit after the timeskip consists of a greyish looking top, a grey hat with goggles and jeans shorts, as well as the same black buskins she wore in previous arcs. Before she left Fishman Island alongside the Strawhat Pirates, she stole a New World Log Pose from recently freed human Pirates. However, she's still being seen wearing her old Log Pose on her wrist.

[Miju's outfit at the beginning of the Punk Hazard Arc will be added later]

During the Dressrosa Arc, Miju disquises herself, wearing a black vest with eight yellow buttons and a white blouse underneath. She also wears a black newsboy cap, a black skirt and black high heeled pumps. As always, she wears her hair accessoire.

During her fights, Miju's vest was multiple times pierced by Deflamingo and she stripped it out, since the vest became unusable.

After the Dressrosa Arc and during the Zou Arc, Miju was seen wearing a red, short-sleeved blouse, a black top, as well as light brown goggles and black shorts, similar in design to the ones Portgas D. Ace had worn, but noticeable shorter, as well as her usual black buskins. Miju added a red and narrow belt to her shorts. As always, she wore her two hair accessoires.

Piracy data:

Crew: Miyashi Pirates

Position: Quartermaster
Bounty:

20 million Berry ( debut, short time before Alabasta)-> she was a pirate for almost five years before she met Luffy and the others and therefore already had drawn the attention of the Navy to herself by fighting Marine soldiers, saving slaves and stealing information from Marine Bases.

50 million Berry (after the Alabasta Arc) -> after she unwillingly sneaked into a Marine Base where already Portgas D. Ace was (who wanted to gain information of the whereabouts of Blackbeard). Together, they stole secret Navy information. Ace because he wanted to know where Blackbeard current position was and Miju because she hoped to gain information about Miyashi and her other Nakama.

90 million Berry (after participating the Battle of Marineford)-> Although Miju wasn't even close to the same level of power as the Whitebeard Pirates and the Admirals of the Navy had been, Miju's actions during the war had been enough to alert Sengoku to raise her bounty.

110 million Berry (after fighting on Fishman Island) -> Together with Zoro, Miju had been one of the first Strawhats to arrive at the Sabaody Archipel and Shakky's bar and often went to the other parts of the Archipel while waiting for the arrival of the missing Strawhats. As a result, Miju more than less had been spotted by Bounty Hunters or Navy Soldiers and tus, had one or two minor fights before Luffy arrived. And since she once again had joined Luffy and the others, Miju also had been involved with the events on Mermaid Island.

130 million Berry (after the events of Punk Hazard) -> Before Tashigi and Zoro had fought Monet, Miju had an encounter which was intervened by Vergo. She eventually lost to him and was brought to Caesar who locked her inside the cage, until Miju afterwards was freed alonside Luffy, Trafalgar Law, Smoker and the others. They formed an temporarly alliance to defeat Vergo, Monet and Caesar. Due to her involvement with Luffy, her bounty was increased.

170 million Berry (after Dress Rosa)-> Miju fought with Law against Fujitora and Doflamingo. Although she had been no match for Doflamingo and had been left behind after Law was shot, Miju made a return and kept Trebol busy, while Law fought Doflamingo. Adittionally, she later tried to fight Doflamingo together with the fighters of the Collosseum in order to give Luffy enough time to regenerate his Haki. Even though she wasn't a serious threat to Doflamingo, she in fact was able to more or less keep him busy until Luffy returned and finished his fight with  Doflamingo, which is why the Navy decided to increase her bounty.

[(A/N) After Wano Kuni, the Navy will public that Miju had eaten a cloned Devil Fruit, so it can be assumed that the Navy will increase her bounty again in an attempt to get her caught for experiments as to why she did survived eating the cloned Thunder Fuit, when there had been none survivor before. Therefore, her next bounty will be increased more than it had been before.]

Occupations: Quartermaster (formerly),

Pirate

Jolly Roger: Can be seen [kuraiko-chan349.deviantart.com…

Ship: Brigg (first ship, before Zhan joins the crew, sold at Water 7)

Fregatte (second ship, after Zhan joined the crew; bought at Water 7, destroyed by Navy)

Crew: Miyashi (male; childhood friend; he helped when she first came to his Island to get whatever they needed and they often joined forces in order to steal money, food or other needed things; He offered her on various occassions during the years to join his crew, what she eventually hesitantly does after her mother was presumabely killed and she sees the wrong doings of the Navy; He often teases her what annoys she, as well as his antic to forget small details such as buying fruits and vegetables; Respects him nonetheless as both a Captain and friend)

Nihha (female; former Navy Soldier who rebelled against her corrupt Superior and was branded as a traitor for it; fights with Tonfa and joined Miyashi's Pirate Crew after her „rebellion“ in order to flee from the Marine and take revenge on those who branded her a traitor; although Miju and Nihha didn't get along at first, they eventually bonded over their similar background; Nihha became Miyashis second-in-command a short while afterwards)

Doctor and his daughter (simply called „Doc“; is about 40 years old when he joins the Crew; is the Ship Doctor and is aided by his daughter; joined after Miyashi and his crew helped him and after finally having enough of the passivity of Marine; fights with scalpels; although his daughter isn't much of a fighter, she uses Grenades to defend herself [but mostly stays out of fights])

Zhan (giant; former Slave of a rich man; had to carry or lift heavy things around or served as entertainer for his master; was offered to join after he was freed [his master was killed by Miyashi]; Miju had at first been afraid of Zhan due to his height and his wild appearance but soon grew fond of the giant and greatly appreciated the storys he told; Miju enjoyed sitting on his shoulder; slept on deck before Miyashi bought a bigger ship at Water 7; found his way of fighting shortly afterwards [his weapon became a large battleaxe])

Devil Fruit

Type: Logia

Devil Fruit: cloned Goro Goro no Mi (cloned Thunder Fruit)

Abilities:         - She can turn electrity into lighting as use them as thrown bullets ( the maximum are ten times, depending on the voltage
                       - She can avoid hits from normal attacks (being shot or stabbed at) by turnin into electricity (the maximum are seven times,                            depending on the duration of her transformation
                       - She is able to transfer electricity into metal objects (for example a metal pipe) and attack with it (standard attack)

- She can also manipulate/ regulate electricity to a certain degree (25,000 volts are the maximum)                                                                [during her debut and before Alabasta]

                 - Turning electricity into flashes and using them as throwing bullets (maximum 12 times, depending on the voltage)
                 - Avoiding hits from normal attacks by transforming into electricity (maximum 9 times, depending on the duration of their                    transformation)
                 - Transfering electricity into - metal objects, eg a metal pipe - and attack with it (standard attack)
                 - Manipulating / Regulating Electricity to a certain degree (35,000 volts are the maximum)
[during and after the battles on the Thriller Bark]

                 - Turning electricity into flashes and using them as throwing bullets (new maximum 20 times, depending on the voltage)
                 - Avoiding hits from normal attacks by turning them into electricity (maximum 15 times, depending on the duration of their                  transformation)
                 -
Transfer electricity into - metal objects, eg a metal pipe - and attack with it (standard attack)

    - Manipulating / Regulating electricity to a certain degree; Even for objects within a radius of 20 meters (75,000 volts are the                 new maximum)

    - Creation of an electronic field around her and influencing its range (maximum range 15 meters, can be sustained up to ten                  minutes in a row, if not too much energy has been consumed)
                -
Thunder Gun is a close range attack and a hommage to the passed away Portgas D. Ace. This attack is used by pointing the                 index and middle fingers of both hands at one or more opponents like guns and creating as well as firing small bullets made                 of thunder from her fingertips. It's mostly used in combination with her ability to turn into Thunder: After Miju turned into her               Logia Form to get closer to her opponents, she de-transforms and points her finger towars the enemy (this attack can be                     used as often as she likes and she can either shock or kill her opponents, depending how high the volt is).

                 - Sending electricity into other people's body and using said electricity to confuse the neural pathways of her opponent,                         making them unable to move or confusing them by moving the wrong body part (example: opponent wants to move his left                 arm but instead moves his right leg)*. Depending on the body height and the scope of the body, the exhaustion of this                         attack can wary. While using the attack against an opponent of for example Ussop's height won't exhaust her, the same                     attack against an opponent of Doflamingo's height will exhaust her a little bit. Following this, the attack against a man of for                 example Edward Newgate's height will exhaust her greatly and attacking someone of Oars Jr. or Kaidou will have serious                     consequenses which will be named later.

[after training for two years [Timeskip]]

* [This attack isn't my idea. It appeard first in the Naruto Anime. I don't know which episode it was, but it was used by Tsunade against Kabuto, when Orochimaru tried to trick her into helping him after his fight against the third Hokage. I thought for a long time whether or not I should include this skill to Miju's ability set, but I think that after training for two years with pirates who sail in the New World (White Bay had trained her in basic Haki use and also gave her advices how to improve her attacks), it is reasonable that Miju learnt such an attack. And I also think it's fitting to her Devil Fruit since Enel had been able to give himself a heart massage by using the electricity on his own body. And besides that: It's the New World and they're gonna fight against the Yonko's, Blackbeard and probably the World Government and CP0 later, Miju needs more powerful abilities and skills to survive that. I have the feeling she's still quite weak due to her Devil Fruit being cloned and having more weaknesses than original Devil Fruits.]

Haki:

After two years of hard training, Miju is able to use Haki, although not to it's full extend

Miju can use Kenbunshoku Haki („Observation Haki“), which allows her to sense the presence of others and to predict an opponent's moves shortly before they make them; making the attack much easier to evade with her lightning abilities.

She is also able to use Busoshoku Haki („Armament Haki“), allowing Miju to augment her physical attacks and imbue it into her metal rod when fighting, to prevent it from chipping and allowing her a larger attack range. Using Busoshoku Haki, Miju also is able to bypass the powers of Devil Fruit users such as Monet, making it possible for her to attack the Harpy's body beneath the snow.

Unlike Vergo or Pica, Miju isn't able to coat her entire body in Busoshoku Haki and she also struggles to use both Haki forms whenever she wants to. This can also be seen in her fight with Monet, wher she shows the abilitiy to use both Haki forms for the first time. But, during one attack, her Busoshoku Haki fades, allowing Monet to bite Miju on the arm. It also seems as if using Kenbunshoku Haki is easier for Miju than using Busoshoku Haki, as she's using it more often than Busoshoku Haki.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

The great strength of the cloned lightning fruit is, as with its original and other, real Devil's Logia, that allows the user to control the element, and transform itself into it. Since it is a cloning of lightning / thunder, it is possible for Miju to turn into lightning, if only limited, and to control and transform it as well as electricity. If it comes into contact with metallic objects, it can be used to transfer the electricity.

In transformed form, Miju is also able to evade and ward off normal attacks by turning her body into lightning, causing the attacks to pass through them without causing any damage.

As with the original, rubber is a big weakness of this devil tree as it does not conduct current, which puts Miju under the devil's powers of Ruffy, as their own lightning-based attacks have no effect on him. In addition, Miju can use its powers only a limited number of times and only within a time limit, which is always dependent on volt strength and previously consumed energy. If Miju has already used a strong and powerful attack, it is weaker than after a much weaker attack and needs to be regenerated accordingly.

Like all other devil tree users, Miju is susceptible to water and sea stones and loses their powers when they come into contact with them.

As it has been stated above, Miju can't use Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki whenever she wants to. She still struggles to use them which sometimes leaves her open, allowing her opponents to attack her if she isn't fast enough to dodge or start a counter attack.

History:

The story of her parents:
Miju's mother Mariko is a member of the Dragon's Revolutionary Army and fifteen years before Miju's birth, had infiltrated the Marine to collect information and to send it on to the Revolutionary Army. It worked for years but eventually, Miju's mother fell in love with a Marine Soldier called Gou. The two fell in love and although her feelings towards Gou were real, she could not bring herself to tell him the truth. Mariko continued with her task until she found out that she was pregnant. Knowing that she could not continue with her task with her unborn child, Mariko abandoned her task for the sake of her daughter.

After Miju was born, Gou would often take his newborn daughter with him whenever he was briefly on sea. He would take her and Mariko with him often times, holding Miju in his arms when standing on deck, simply so his daughter would grow up loving the sea as much as he did. He told her important information about sailing and stirring a ship as well as navigating and how important a good crew was. And even though Miju was still a newborn, she always was seen smiling and giggling when she was on the ship of her father.
Whenever they would encounter a pirate crew stupid enough to dare to attack the Marine Ship, however, Gou would order Mariko to take Miju and go under deck until the fight was over. Many if not all of those Crews were defeated and imprisoned with only rarely someone escaping him.

This would have serious consequences, however, when Miju was four:
A Pirate Crew who had lost their Captain to Gou attacked the base Miju and her parents lived in at night. It was a surprise attack and one of the crew members did manage to sneak past the Marines and into the room where Miju was hiding. The pirate kidnapped Miju and ordered Gou to give himself in in exchange for his daughter.
A furious Gou didn't intended to do so and only pretended to give himself over. Once he was on the pirate ship and saw his daughter, he attacked the pirates leaving no one alive as a warning. He successfully saved his daughter and shielding her eyes from the pirates laying on the ship and safely returned her back home.
Her own kidnapping, despite being saved by her father, would be one of the reasons why Miju initially antagonized pirates.

Few years later, Gou was sent to a secret mission regarding a cloned Devil Fruit (which he was suppossed to bring to Marie Geosia), Mariko reealised what the Marine was trying to achieve and to what the Marine was capable. While s
he (Miju's mother) indeed had loved him (Miju's father), she put the good of the whole world, and therefore of her daughter, to higher priority than her love for her husband. And so she betrayed him; To stay true to her principles and to help create a world where she would like to see her daughter grow up. Being in conflict with her love for her husband and her dream of freedom and peace for her daughter and the whole world, Miju's mother no longer could longer watch without interfering. And so, Mariko instructed an subordinate she trusted to take care of her daughter and sneaked onboard the ship her husband used to collect the cloned Devil Fruit.

Mariko managed to avoid being discovered, and once her husband had collected the cloned Devil Fruit, stole said Fruit and left the ship.
She returned to her daughter before her husband, thanked her subordinate and contacted Dragon. Telling him of her success of stealing a Prototype of a cloned Devil Fruit, Mariko) flew with her daughter to the North Blue and told her a story of how Gou stayed behind to ensure their escape (which Miju believed, leading to adult Miju her believing her father died years ago protecting her).

Because he did not just lost the Prototype of Vegapunks cloned Devil Fruit but also had married a Revolutionary (even though he hadn't known), Gou was degraded by Senghok and forbidden to participate in other important missions and to stay at his base on the grandline. As long as the cloned Devil Fruit hadn't returned into the hands of the Marine, he was degraded from his rank as a Vice Admiral.

His mission having failed, his wife being revealed to be the enemy and having left him with his child, his career being messed up and being the mockery of the Marine, Gou gets eaten up by his own hate. Over the years, he turned into a bitter and furious man who's only goal is to find and retrieve the cloned Devil Fuit.

He searched without break for his wife and daughter and, ten years later, manages to find them on an island in the Northblue. He succeeds in trapping his wife and demands the return of the Prototype Devil Fruit, not knowing that his daughter had eaten the Fruit years ago by accident, when she had believed that Miyashi was a Marine Soldier. The two of them fight and although he eventually manages to overpower his wife, he fails to capture her, due to arriving Revolutionary who help Mariko retreating (unbeknownst to Miju who does not know what happened to her mother).

The succeeded escape of his wife and the unknown whereabouts of his daughter (whom he believes to carry the cloned Devil Fruit with her), Miju's father becomes even more of a bitter and angered man.

The beginning of Miju's search for her Nakama:
During the next five years, Miju's father hears of a Rookie Pirate Crew that manages to sneak into Marine Bases to steal secretive information and who also frees Slaves of nobles and rich families. Recognizing the danger this Pirate Crew is to the Marine, he demands to see the Wanted Poster of the Crew. Upon seeing the Wanted Poster, he recognizes that his daughter is part of the Crew. Infuriated by the fact that his daughter (who he had taught to become a Marine Soldier) is now a Pirate, Gou orders his subordinates to split and to
focus all forces on finding the pirate gang and to capture Miju. His plan is to retrieve the cloned Devil Fruit from her and to turn her into a Marine Soldier like she originally was supposed to be.

When Miju is 21 years old, her father's subordinates finally manage to find Miyashi's crew and a sea fight begins, which the Marine eventually wins. With the destroyed pirate ship and Miju imprisoned, the Marine sails to the agreed meeting place to meet up with Gou.

However, the Marine ship is attacked by another Pirate crew and Miju manages to loosen and sneak into a dinghy, successfully fleeing from the battle.

Some time afterwards, Miju is found and saved by the Strawhat Pirates.

During the Battle of Marineford:
Father and daughter eventually see each other again after long fifteen years, during the Battle of Marineford. While Miju fights her way to the distraint platform, Gou fights off Whitebeard Pirates and their allies while also trying to get to his daughter.

He eventually succeeds in getting closer to her and calls her name a few time. Miju, who hears her name being shouted, looks up to see who shouts and sees her father. But because she hasn't seen him for so many years and believes him to have died, she does not recognize him. However, Miju is distracted long enough to be attacked by other Marine Soldiers but fortunately is safed by Masked Deuce and another former member of the Spade Pirates. Miju get called out for not paying attention to the war around her and refocuses on freeing Ace.

Gou sees his daughter fighting and by observing her fights and her weakness of not being able to use her Devil Fruit power unlimited, he eventually figures out that Miju must have eaten the cloned Devil Fruit.

After the Wano Kuni Arc:
As it is shown with his arrival after the Wano Kuni Arc,
Gou now plans on capturing his daughter and bringing her to Mari Geoisa in the place of the unavailable cloned Devil Fruit.

Trivia

  • Miju's re-occurring and re-appearing fear is to lose those she loves and cares for, which is reasoned by her people she deeply cared for(one after another) having been taken from her. At first, her father was seemingly killed while trying to allow his wife and daughter to escape from the Island and the second time was almost a decade later, when her mother did the same for her and Miyashi, they could out to the open sea. The third time Miju's fear re-appears and becomes real is, when they had been found by a Navy Ship after they had an encounter with a rivaled Pirate Crew and Miju was captured and separated from her crewmates. Although she later was saved due to the Navy ship being attacked and destroyed by a pirate ship and being found by the Strawhat Pirates, Miju did not know where her friends were and if they were alive. The last time Miju's fear re-appeared was at Marineford, when Ace died. Since she considered him a friend, Miju had insisted to come alongside the Whitebeard Pirates and had fought in order to free him. His death left Miju disturbed and almost made her fall back into the repeating circle of getting close to people, losing them and then feeling overly guilty, weak and powerless for not being able to protect them. Fortunately, however Luffy's message (and a tantrum fom White Bay) gave Miju new hope and enough strenght to break out of this self repeating circle. So instead of isolating herself again, Miju got motivated to train hard the following two years, so she would be strong enough to protect her old and new friends.

  • Similar to this, it had been Portgas D. Ace and Monkey D. Luffy who made her realise that she couldn't achieve her goal by tricking and using the people around her, resulting in Mijus development to open more up towards others and the will and desire to fight with as well as for others.

  • Although she knew him just for a short amount of time (traveling to Marineford and the War of Marineford), Miju came to admire Whitebeard after witnessing his physical strenght and will during the War. Seeing Whitebeard's leadership and what kind of man he had been for not just caring for all his „Sons“ but also for protecting all those Islands with just his sign (for example Fishman Island). For what Whitebeard did during his lifetime but also for his last word which inspired her, Miju holds him in high regard and respects him deeply.

  • The hits from Miju can hurt Devil Fruit user because she unknowingly uses Haki. Her Haki is connected to her emotions. Since Miju hits others mainly when she's annoyed (namely Portgas D. Ace, Monkey D. Luffy and Brook), Miju is quite emotional when hitting them and thus, uses Haki without even knowing it before the Time Skip. After the 2 years of training, Miju is aware of Haki (and has better control over Haki) and therefore uses it when hitting Devil Fruit user.

  • Miju's hobby is Origami. She learnt it during the Timeskip and it's a reason why she isn't so easily annoyed by the antics of some of the Strawhat Pirates (mainly Luffy) and helps her staying calm instead of lashing out.

[Edit 02. 10. 2018]: Miju's parents will soon be revealed and a short backgroundstory will be told, too. I'll also finally explain how Miju got into the possession of her Devil Fruit and why her mother wanted her to leave alongside Miyashi. Stay tuned, it's gonna be interesting ^^

I am going to explain more about Mijus bounty, once I have enough time Sweating a little...
Same goes for her background story and who Miyashi is.
However, I hope you are interested and would like to read more about her :) (Smile)

Feel free to tell me what you think of her bounty, if it's to high or low and everything else, you think could be improved :D (Big Grin)
I am always glad when I can improve my OCs :) (Smile)

Please don't steal and/ or claim as yours! Thank you :D (Big Grin)

Wow! *_* This drawing ...
it's so beautiful!
Omg! I love it!
You are really skilled!
I can't stop starring at this picture.
I like it even more than all the digital colored art, that you usually see.

(Also fun fact btw: The childhood dream of Ahiru [my OP "OC"] was also to become a Marine [like her father and her brother], before she became a member of the Revolutioary Army. [It actually still {kinda} is.])
